Hey FUCKERS! I want a freaking CAUCUS in California!
I see all these candidates sitting around the house with real people and all that in Iowa. I WANT THAT SHIT MYSELF!

In CA (unless it is a Kucinich rally) a political event is hard to get passes to. More concert and sound bite than meeting the people.

And the way the vote works out is too cool. first choice? Second Choice? Now we are talking.

Not to mention that it seems to be getting people talking about the vote, neighbor to neighbor.

No hanging freaking Chads, no computer crapola too.

Not to mention the Bevis and Butthead factor of saying the word Caucus all the time in the months leading up to it.

2. Oh lord.
We can barely get our shit together enough to have an in-person election. Can you imagine how many caucus places we'd need? And how many volunteers it would take to run it all? There's very real talk of doing vote by mail only because we can't even find enough people to run a regular polling place...or enough places to hold them, for that matter.

Not to mention it would be astronomically expensive to campaign in California at any scale even approaching what they do in Iowa and New Hampshire. WAY too many people, WAY too big of a state area-wise, WAY too much money for a 30 second commercial. Absolutely not feasible.

Want a caucus? Move to Iowa or Nevada.

5. But what about Shoeless Joe?
I hear he shows up in baseball fields there. So they've got that going for them.
