anyone else who can't stop baking?
I made a ton of nutbreads before Christmas for school presents and Christmas gifts.

Then my husband made biscotti, and apricot and nut rolls.

We didn't see my husband's family since they were sick over Christmas and I feel like I need to start baking more....

I just put more nut breads in the oven (and I think I also have to wrap their gifts!)

1. My mother wanted an apple pie for Christmas. No store had any non-frozen.

So today I made one.
I'm 58. Never made a pie before.

It turned out pretty swell!

It's not as hard as people think - did you make your own crust too?

3. Oddly, I feel like baking something.
I shouldn't. I have recently made hundreds of cookies, bars, candy, pies and breads. I made two full Christmas dinners (ham, meatballs, twice baked potatoes, corn, salad and lefse for Christmas Eve; turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sesame green beans, salad, lefse, rolls for Christmas Day), and really should be burnt out on working in the kitchen.

Still, though, I have a hankering to make scones.

5. I am baking cookies right now.
That is if I can keep the cookie dough safe.

6. Right here. I made like 12 pies this month. And I'm about to make a gooseberry one.

Because the first twelve (which were mostly pumpkin and apple) just weren't enough.
