"You think I'm a Replicant, don't you."
Every other line in Blade Runner is a memorable one- that one happens to be Rachel confronting Deckard in his home for the first time.

Some others are classic favorites of every fan- Roy Batty's death soliloquy- "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe." and Gaff's "You've done a man's job, sir!". Then there's Roy's classic "I want more life, fucker." as he confronts Tyrell before he kills him.

There are many I haven't mentioned- what's YOUR favorite Blade Runner moment?

1. We could throw lines back and forth but
let's cut to the chase-in your opinion, (not Dick's, not Scott's, just yours) was Deckard a Replicant?

2. Yes. I mean No. I mean....
Oh, dear...

Actually, until the Grand Question first started popping up online, it never really entered my mind. So I'll say NO.

Wake up. Time to die.

3. I remember discussing it back in high school.
In the novel it is said that he took-and passed-the Voight-Kampff test but that his reactions to stimuli were becoming more android-like every day. It also stated that the test was quite ridiculous and that, if well-trained, an android might possibly be able to pass it. (Possibly insinuating that maybe the best person for the job of administering the test was the one who could pass it...or maybe not.) Either way, I don't believe that Dick saw him as one.

The movie is more open-ended about the topic. Ridley Scott once said in an interview that in his mind Deckard was a Replicant and that if you watched the movie you could see it. (Too many clues to even discuss here.)

Oh, and he's talking about making a sequel. Again. (He's stated it before but it always falls through.)

4. Hell no he ain't no replicant
Ridley Scott's an idiot. He was once a great filmmaker, but then he sold out to the Defense Department and made Black Hawk Down the way they wanted it to be, changing the name of one of the Ranger's who fought there because the real one came back home and raped his daughter and is currently in Leavenworth. We can't have people thinking that maybe war has negative effects on those who fight it. Not to mention civilian casualties were virtually non-existent in the film whereas in the book there are many.

And since then Scott's been a downright weirdo when it comes to Blade Runner. He has now contradicted the book and earlier statements that he himself made in order to make Deckard a Replicant. The whole thing reeks of an attempt to drum up interest in his new "ultimate" DVD and increase sales. Fuck Scott for falling so low.
