1. Oh my - you bring me back to high school.
I was on the yearbook video staff. We'd shoot our footage in SVHS. You could see our football team lose in much crisper quality.

:P

A/V meant having to set up the screen, too. The screen was my specialty, that, and drawing the curtain and manning the light switches. I was multitasking back in fourth grade!

7. My specialty was Shadow Puppets.
Try getting THIS to work on your DVD player:

8. Oh, a break in the film was always a nice diversion.
Our shadow puppet experts never got much beyond flying birds before I turned the lights back on. I was fast!

That video is rather exceptional. I saw it a couple of months ago, but it still maintains all the magic it had the first time I saw it.

9. Our light switch techs were usually the goody-two-shoes apple polisher types.
Pretty quick.

You had to rough 'em up on the playground a couple times. THEN they'd get the hint and allow enough time for some good shadow puppets.

10. My parents, teacher, and principal only wish I was.
I was anything but a goody-two-shoes apple polisher type.

3. Oh boy... Laserdisc....
Reminds me of some project we did when I was at school - the BBC Domesday Project. It was on a bunch of Laserdiscs set up in a special player that only worked with a BBC Microcomputer. The BBC computer is obsolete now. Fortunately some people have managed to get some data off of it and put it on the web at domesday1986.com and the rest of it has been put in the National Archive.
