My Family Hates LOVE,ACTUALLY because of the nudity!

I LOVE this movie. I watch it every Christmas. I had my Mom watch it and she complained about the sex. I just rolled my eyes but then my brother siad the same thing. He's my age and said he can't show it to his students because of the porn scene.He said the nudity ruined a great film Am I too liberal about this or are they too prudish?

I can't understand how a country like the USA, the porn capitol of the world can be so uptight about nudity. I am more offended with movies like Hostel that prmotes torture and violnce against women and carnage than I am with nudity in cinema. I'd rather see a fully nude man or woman than a decapitated head or someone being tortured.

Will we ever get over our hate towards nudity?

2. If the government of a country reflects its citizens' mores and wishes, then we get BushCo

and torture. And torture porn.

I myself prefer nudity and sex over violence. Our country is truly sick.

3. I'd also like to add

that my cousins LOVED the High School Musical movies and when Vanessa Hudgens nude photo surfaced the kids were 'devastated" (the actual words the mother used) She wanted DIsney to explain and appologize how they ruined her kid's favorite movies of all time. She then went on to say what Vanessa did was unforgivable.

I shook my head in disgust (I think I also said she had a nice body which made things worse)There are many examples of how we are just so uptight when it comes to nudity. Could it be people equate nudity with sex only? Thoughts?

4. I asked about that as well

I asked, what porn scene? Apparently there is a scene which I totally forgot about where 2 characters who end up hooking up are nude models and are in various sexual positions for an artist I believe. I had to stop and think hard about it,but to them it was all they could focus on throughout the entire movie.

5. Our society tends to have a punitive attitude toward sex.

Look at some of the porn we produce, if you need proof. It's almost as if the women are being "punished" (shamed, etc.) for being sexual.

It's our Puritan roots showing, I suppose.
