3. Check out this vid

...of two beavers holding hands (paws?) while they're relaxing and floating around. At one point they lose their connection, then they look for each other and hold hands again. Too cute!

6. I think you're right....
whatever furry water creature they are, though, they are darling.

And seeing something like this - it just boggles the mind that humans can delude themselves into believing that other animals have no souls, no feelings...

9. After a fundie colleague's dog died, her young daughter said,
"Well, at least he's in Heaven now," to which her mother replied, "Oh no...Animals don't go to heaven."

What a nasty thing to say to her own daughter! :(

11. No, they're not...
The tail's the dead giveaway...although otters are also a lot longer, relative to their girth.

14. The water distorts our view of them...
Look carefully between 00:55 and 00:60 as well as 1:20 and 1:25 in the video. You'll notice that one of the tails comes out of the water for an instant, revealing that it is not the beaver's identifying paddle. Also, I've never seen a beaver swim on his back; but sea otters do that all the time.

They're apparently from the Vancouver Aquarium: http://www.vanaqua.org/home/otters.html
