Alcohol drinkers! Help me, I need a drinking strategy !!!
:D
Seriously.
Husband's company party tonight. The five-star chef is cooking (bless his heart!); so I am going to want a nice wine with my dinner BEFORE we start the serious drinking (no, I am NOT driving once we get there, calm down!).
My question:
I'm pretty sensitive to 1)mixing alcohol, and 2)quality of alcohol, so how do I do this without getting sick, since I am drinking wine BEFORE the vodka? Water in between? Will that be enough?
Any help would be appreciated, I don't want to get sick. But it's the first time out of the house in over a month, so I am going to PARTAAAAAY. Again, don't worry, it's a gentleman's club, it would be almost impossible for me to look idiotic with these people.

1. Beer before liquor never been sicker liquor before beer
you're in the clear. Damn, not sure about wine tho! Just take it easy at first.... and then let it get out of hand!

2. In my experience, beer and wine work the same in that equation

3. Order white wine
Red wine seem to be the sickie culprit as far as wine goes (other than quantity!)

I sometimes have spritzer, 1/2 soda water, 1/2 wine. That slows down the effect considerably and keeps you hydrated.

6. Drink white wine with your dinner such as Chardonnay
and then avoid the really sweet, high alcohol mixed drinks later like Long Island Iced Teas or White Russians. You should be fine as long as you stick to those guidelines.
