Well, the company holiday dinner tonight was pretty good!
Tender turkey, mashed spuds, plenty of gravy and stuffing, sliced ham, salad, rolls, and plenty of desert items like tiny cheesecakes and eclairs!

Plus a $50 gift card! And I won a disk-shaped folding easy chair (for tailgating) all done up in Minnesota Vikings purple with the logo on it and everything!

Quite an upgrade from our old place (before we bought this other company and moved into their building) when the owner gave us $25 gift cards and some money to order pizza! :-)

How are you guys making out?

1. our party is this evening.
open bar for an hour, prime rib dinner, and then you listen to about an hour of each officer of the company speak about how they love you (how about loving me with more money!!) and hand out awards. then my wife and i will go home

2. Mmmm... prime rib, not bad, not bad at all
My place had the dinner in the factory during our respective lunch breaks, so alcohol was not encouraged... :-)

3. Tavern on the Green
The boss will pick up the tab for everyone, and everyone's spouse/bf/gf, and all the drinks and desert. He'll spend a small fortune.

I'm the cheap date. As a vegan I'll probably have the least expensive pasta dish on the menu, and I can't drink because of my meds. But we've been there before and it will be a kick-ass pasta dish, and they'll probably have an amazing sorbet desert. Last time, if I'm remembering correctly, I think it was Mango, blood orange and something else with dark-chocolate covered pieces of fruit.
