3. I remember Ratchman being all about glam
and Adam Curry playing Anthrax, and DRI, and Megadeth a lot more.

4. Rachtman had his Cathouse buddies on for 2 hours.
GOD it was torture to watch all of these poodle-head, dime-a-dozen Sunset Strip bands for most of the program just to see the three metal vids at the end. Then when poodle-rock died, all of a sudden he's ditching the leather pants and Liz Taylor hair and now gets Charlie Benante hair, hipster metal guy clothes and full sleeve tats like Biohazard. Amazing.

At least Adam Curry delved into the underground metal scene every so often. Rachtman would only play anything on a major label.

16. Adam was a wanker
Edited on Wed Dec-12-07 08:03 PM by Maestro
DSI. He had no idea what metal was. Rikki had his own club, if I am thinking of the correct host. He knew the bands. When Rikki was there Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Maiden, Exodus, Mercyful Fate, etc... all started to get airplay. With Adam, it was that damn hair metal shit.

20. "I picked a loser ass."
"Memories...of the phone booths on my block..."

"You did a sound check! Why didn't you do a VOLCANO check?!?"

And we often refer to back up dancers as "Stinky".

22. Did you catch Julie's short-lived sketch show?
I think it was called "The Edge..." I don't think it even made a full season, but I remember thinking it was pretty funny. Jennifer Aniston was a cast member...

It really got good after that Adam wanker left and Rikki took over. At least he knew what metal was.

21. If not for Kari Wuhrer (sp?), Remote Control was unwatchable.
Jeez, Pinfield over Rachtman, but HBB over 120 mins overall.
