``They made a political decision at Schroeder Plaza, not a tactical one,'' the Boston police superior officer was saying yesterday. The image of several hundred cops in battle dress uniforms was definitely not the one they wanted going out to the rest of the world . . . especially on Super Bowl Sunday.

My question: Since when is it acceptable to tip cars over and throw rocks and bottles at cops?

I guess if you're a Northeastern University student, it's A-OK.


Most of these pukes aren't even from Boston.
