So What Are You Doing Today?
Edited on Sat Dec-08-07 12:06 PM by Southpawkicker
Me?

After going to the cell phone store to exchange my battery, the bank, the grocery store, and probably look around Best Buy, and a bookstore. Oh and I need to get in touch with RetroLounge about a couple of books he might have, I'd rather get them from him than someone else if he has them...

I thought I'd go to the Olive Garden for all you can eat soup and salad and breadsticks :P

then I'd get on my cell phone with the new battery and talk loudly while I searched for breastfeeding mothers while driving my SUV...

then, well, I will probably come back home and watch a movie, do some laundry, think up some dirty thoughts (as if that will be hard)

I might even get on DU again, imagine that...

:hi:

hope everyone has a great day

and good vibes to all!!!!!

:grouphug:

Oh!! I ordered a remote control dinosaur for my son  now he can terrorize his dog with it

also have to make some loud phone calls to people to find out what the hell they want for Xmas, (there is a war on Christmas, but is there one on Xmas?) So if you hear someone talking loudly on the phone, just assume it might be me and treat them accordingly...

:spank: :spank: :grr: or something like that!!!

;)

oh and i need to find a place that is open on Xmas for me and my family to eat at since I AIN'T PLANNIN' TO COOK :P

1. I went to Pilates this morning
Came home, ate lunch and took a shower.

Now I'm drinking coffe and eating an orange.

I don't want to push myself. :P

Waiting for the rest of the crew to come home from a Breakfast w/ Santa, so I don't know what the plans are yet.

Probably going out to dinner tonight though.

:hi:

That was exhausting enough that I'm just going to sit here for awhile before trying to do other stuff.

33. Three of 'em.
The little cat and one of the big ones in the big carrier; the other big one in the smaller carrier. The vet offers a bulk discount (25% off for 3 cats), so it's cheaper that way. Also more interesting.

4. Good to see that you've already SPANKED yourself...
so I won't have to! Olive Garden, SUV's, and "Xmess"...pffffft!:P

I'm throwing a belated birthday bash for my son, he turned 12 this week. The in-laws are driving in from Ohio for the party. We'll go out for dinner. Possibly, a BBQ joint named Squealers. They have excellent pulled pork and ribs.

I'm in charge of dessert tonight and am about to attempt to defy gravity by stacking mini chocolate covered cream puffs in the shape of a cone/Christmas tree complete with trick sparkler candles. I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this very ambitious project.:scared:

Other than that, not much going on. If I get this monumental dessert put together I might go take a brisk hike with my pooch out in the mucky snow covered fields and woods behind the house.

:hi: Enjoy your day!

5. I had a good morning with my girlfriend
she likes to pounce on me to wake me up.
Then I made her some asian eggs with chilies and green onions for breakfast.
Then she went to work so I checked DU and saw that Airplane was on Comedy Central.
I should probably do some laundry soon.
Then I should find some time to work on my grad school applications.
Then later tonight I have a birthday party to go to.

At some point I'll probably drive my SUV to wal-mart while running over kittens and dropping lit cigarettes on dry forested areas. Then maybe I'll send in a donation to Huckabee and post a bit on Free Republic as I plot to take over the world.

The evil day job doesn't let me have much time to run my side business anymore - but the s.o. is out of my hair this second, so I'm actually making a dent in it.

I am on the opposite side of the coin today. A series of unfortunate events led to me not going in to volunteer at kitty/doggy place today. I forgot to put clothes in dryer, forgot to sleep at a reasonable hour last night, forgot not to drink so much, yada yada.

But my dogs still love me!

54. I walked a lot, and shopped too
I'd totally harass the cats with a remote dinosaur!

I walked to the Borders that's 2 miles away and got a calender for my friend for Christmas and two veggie cookbooks for myself, and then I went to the Target that's a mile from that and got a new 2-foot Christmas tree and then brought it all back. So the walking was easy and it's nice out but it was silly to carry all that big stuff around, I was a mess when I got home. But since I walked five miles I can have a tasty supper now :9 rice and corn chips with green salsa, omg it's gonna rock, I can't wait, I have to go heat it up because I'm starving :headbang: :9 :9 :9

I was mostly the tree-dragger: Whenever someone bought a tree, I would drag another one out of the tree-pile and put in on the display stand. It was kind of mind-numbingly repetitive.

75. I finally got my Christmas cards started today.

I ran some errands, it started to rain ( yay!)
and now I need to fix dinner.

I am very, very behind on my Christmas chores.

But it's one damn day at a time.

Or so I tell myself.

:D :hi:

79. I'm waiting for this fucker to call me.
Me: Are you free for coffee anytime?

Jefe: maybe some time on sat? i can't commit to a
time yet. i may need to stay home for a specific window to facilitate
the cable guy fixing our blasted internet connection.

Has he called me? No.

Am I getting irritated? Yes.

82. I was supposed to put up a tree but
that didn't happen. Instead I hung out with my kids. We were crafty and grocery shopped. We're going to make some cookies now - got to get a start on the whole "baking for neighbors" thing. Whee.

Sounds like you had a busy day. :)

92. well, i did an xmas tradition
for those here in the ny of c area that can handle it.

i went to Macy's, at herald square.

total madness.

if you haven't experienced it, there is no way to describe it.

they do have a great christmas store, 9th floor. let's you see how all the rich muckety mucks decorate THEIR trees....

still, fun to browse, although we (partner and i) hardly ever buy. we already got so much on our tree, there is no room for more.

102. Had a wonderful dream I still need to transcribe
Got my hair cut and ate at my regular cafe (Zabak's Mediterranean)
Cleaned my kitchen
Still need to try out a recipe for Turkish Delight in a bit here
Watched Torchwood and the end of an Dr Who ep

Probably won't have time to make that vegan chocolate cake recipe I want to try, but I have Monday off, so I can experiment on Christmas gift recipes :D

104. I just finished transcribing that dream
(around multiple sneezing fits)
It was a "flying" dream, but of human-powered flight and an amazing experience. Never done that kind of thing in my life, so maybe I should see about trying it sometime :)

107. I posted it in a journal I have over on ezBoard
if you want to read it. I can't post a link directly to the entry, so just scroll to the end to see it:

But yes, in a plane, but very different from a "normal" plane :)

106. Welcoming an infantryman back from Iraq.
He's spent fifteen months patrolling Ramadi, sixteen hours a day, seven days a week. We determined that he ought to lose at Talisman, but he actually came close to winning (we all sucked hilariously tonight). Rematch next weekend, perhaps with Kill Doctor Lucky instead.
