A co-worker drives me absolutely nuts! Nuts, I tell ya!

First off, she reminds me of the boss in Office Space (Lunberg?).
Fortunately for me, she is not my boss. Unfortunately for me, I am HER boss! Here are but a few of her many flaws:

-She constantly makes comments that each end in: "'kay?"

-She asks a question and then answers it (as is being discussed in another Lounge thread). I hate that!

-She says "mute" point instead of "moot" point.

-She says "pure and present danger" instead of "clear and present danger".

-She was extremely overweight and then took three weeks off (a year ago) for "gall bladder" surgery. Turns out she had gastric bypass surgery, and has since lost a ton of weight (at least 100 pounds). She looks great! The problem: she told everyone she lost weight just by doing Richard Simmons! We know for a fact that she had the bypass, but she won't admit to it! It's so obnoxious!

She's one of those people that nearly everyone dislikes on contact. I'm sure you all know the type. My problem is that, first off, I inherited her. I would have never hired her if I had a say in it. Second, most of her flaws are personality issues, and I have little to no ability or authority to correct or reprimand her. I cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and I also cannot fire her.

I loathe this woman with a capital L. I am just grateful that she is not my boss. Thank you for letting me rant.
