Bail Set In Doughnut Truck Heist
http://www.madison.com/archives/read.php?ref=/tct/2007/11/30/0711300262.php

Cash bail of $2,100 was set Thursday for Warren G. Whitelightning of Crandon, the man who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase through Madison's west side after stealing a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts truck when he was drunk early Saturday morning

Assistant District Attorney Michael Verveer conceded that the scene described in the criminal complaint - several squad cars chasing a doughnut truck around the west side - could elicit laughter from many.

"Because what you have is two different police agencies chasing the defendant in a stolen Krispy Kreme doughnut truck with doughnuts flying out of the back of the truck," he said.

3. Krispy Kreme donuts flying out the back of the truck?!?!
That's just wrong. Krispy Kreme donuts are sacred. They are not to be thrown out of the backs of trucks, they are to be eaten.

6. Well, in the midst of all that commotion....
...who could really say just how many doughnuts "flew out the back of the truck", donchaknow?

5. That sounds like a scene from Reno 911.
I can see it now. The chase ends. The cops rush the vehicle to ensure the donuts are ok. Thief gets away.
