Stormtroopers and the Marching Trojan Explosion

Yes boys and girls it was once again time for the Richmond Christmas parade. My nuclear family and another nuclear family (full allotment of 2 children have they) squatted down right outside the Starbucks and took in the bands and floats and everything.

As usual it was cold cold cold cold cold-actually not as bad as previous years.

The Virginia State University band is called, swear to God, The Marching Trojan Explosion

Then later in the parade the Stormtroopers came marching down the street. Darth Vader was both shaking his fist AND waving at people on both sides of the street. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and I raised my fist and Said "Die you Imperialist scum!!" One of the Stormtroopers heard it and pointed at me. I pointed right back at him to which he replied by pointing his fake gun at me. I wasn't having any of it and said, "Don't MAKE me go all Ewok your ..... (I let it trail off without saying it)!!"

Everyone laughed...except those imperialist scum :grr:

Following them up was the Rebel Legion ...they think they are Jedi.

If I was to put money on it I would bet on the Stormtroopers, from what I saw.

We all agreed that it was quite a good time and it is a good thing that I didn't started stomping Trooper tail and get arrested. Now THAT would have been some matcom news right there!!!

1. A buddy went and said it was a hoot!

He mentioned that the male half of the Parade Announcing Duo was a local sportscaster who could not contain his utter loathing for parades. Almost wish I'd seen it.

2. I missed that

We made the mistake of sittting between two traffic lights so the balloons had to be kept low to the ground as they passed us. My girl still got to see Curious George though!!!

Some of these bands were flat out ROCKING the whole time.
