I can't afford to buy scalped tickets for a game in Green Bay. One of these days, just for the hell of it, I'm going to have to find a way to see them on the road. I agree that makes him worse than an asshole. And I don't think there's anything wrong with speaking ill of the dead if it's the truth. I admit to having a juvenile crush on Brett Favre because he's got the most adorable smile and I admire the way he has played out his life in the public eye but I don't mistake that for him being heroic. I don't think we should look to athletes to be heroes but I do think they have a responsibility to reflect well on the team that they play for and if they don't then they shouldn't be so richly rewarded.

They stay in little Green Bay WI and the whole state loves 'em for it.

Packer fans sit out in the COLD like old fashioned football fans.

They are not owned by a high-and-mighty family who throws a conniption fit every time the city doesn't give them what they want, unlike a certain city's team 200 miles to the south.

They're an anomaly. I mean really, a tiny little city like Green Bay with an NFL franchise? It just makes no sense. Can you imagine how hard the NFL would laugh if a town like Green Bay tried to get in NOW? And half the time the team sucks and players can be real assholes but the very fact that they exist and have such a rabid fan base is just illogical and thereby fabulous.
