A poem for those among us who suffer...

I was just thinking about my friends who have overwhelming disabilities...

And these words came churning up out of me...

As did my tears...


For all who hurt

And are not healed...

For all who labor to breathe

For all who struggle to walk

For all who have overwhelming pain

Or illness...

Oh god hear me

Make them whole and well and strong


Let the universe show

They are not alone in their struggle

That as long as we draw breath

We will be alongside them

They will have our love

And our overwhelming ache

That they be well, forever!

15. I swear this is true.

I was hurting so badly because of the fibromyalgia that I wasn't going to come here tonite. But I needed a lift, and here was the first thread I opened!!!!

You know Peggy, so much of our lives we wonder if we've ever made a difference. Would the world miss us if we weren't here...?

But I tell you what, tonite you made the difference for me. Don't ever let me catch you questioning your self-worth. I'm sure lots of folks from here especially owe you a debt for being the supportive, loving person I see every day in you.
