"Hey don't feel bad, I did too."

1. LLLLLLoyd Cooper.
You gotta give LLLLLLoyd some credit though: unlike Cooper, he actually won a national title with Michigan.

I remember the reaction from the assorted Michigan women     after Beanie's 62 yard run!

  What can I tell ya, gals? Ain't gonna stop Wells if you have two missed tackles. He's surgical with that shit. 222 YARDS!

I feel your pain. Think of all the MU/OSU matches we had to watch with Failure Cooper at the helm. That 1996 game, a complete mismatch on paper, cost the Buckeyes a national title that year. That was painful to watch. Completely painful.

10. OSU had a damned PRO team that year.
1996 was literally one of the few OSU teams one could say had little, if any, weaknesses. Besides their shit-sorry coach, that is.

8-3 Michigan, besides Chuck Woodson, had handbag and gladrag second string-quality players at every position.

All that talent, AT the Horseshoe, and Failure Cooper STILL lost that game with his piss-poor play calling and even worse preparation.

I damned near threw a brick at the screen. I wanted that bastard fired right then and there.

Tressel did something to the OSU teams that Cooper never did - while stressing discipline with a good attitude, the Michigan game HAS BEEN and ALWAYS WILL BE a big deal. It always seemed like "just another game" to Coop; the mental and physical preparation never seemed to be there, which is why his teams almost always lost to UM no matter HOW stacked they were. They'd either play ultra-conservative, scared or just flat.

3. My dear sasquatch!
OK! OSU won today, and I'm so happy for my Ohio friends!

Now, please forgive this newbie's question: What happens now? I heard that OSU is now the Pac 10 champ...

What exactly does this mean?

Do they get to go to the Rose Bowl?

Sorry to be stupid...

:hi:

8. If, by some freak occurance, everyone in front of OSU lost
They would then go to the National Championship.

5. Carr has nothing to be ashamed of.
In his career as coach of Michigan, he is only *third* in the number of wins - Bo being the first, natch.

That said.... GO BUCKS!

O! H!

....

I! O!

6. He leaves with a losing record against Ohio State though
That can't be good for the old legacy.

9. True. His job might be at risk.
No other reason aside from his inability to beat OSU. To lots of people, that's the only important game of the year, though.
