It has always been about the song for me. If I liked the song

then I wanted to know more about who wrote it, played it, produced it. If I liked more of their stuff then I "liked" them. I have never tried to catergorize beyond that. I do not care about genres, best of lists. If I like, I like it. If you do, too-- GREAT. If not, fine. Perhaps there is something among your collection that would interest me.
