1. Excellent! But you know the rules:
You can't discuss kittens without posting pictures.

2. awww, a kitten!
Do you have any pictures? I love kittens- please don't ask me how many are at my house, you'll think I'm a crazy cat lady or something.

7. I second that.
We got a kitten from a shelter and he soon developed a severe upper respiratory illness. He could have died; luckily he pulled through with some good meds. I remember "steaming" him by running the shower on hot and closing off the bathroom to let the steam build up and help open his nasal passages.

It sounds like he is tiny; I wonder how old he is? One pound is pretty little. Usually a shelter, for example, will wait until they reach two pounds before adopting them out.

But ... Congrats on the kitten! Nothing better ...

10. I was worried about putting them together
we have been leaving them apart but tonight we introduced them. It went okay

the dog is old. she is about 8 years old and was a mom to one litter of pups before we got her fixed.

We put them together tonight and the dog just kind of sniffed at the baby kitty and snapped at the kitty once, the kitty bared claws and now they have been circling and walking away. The dog ate some food and then went back outside

Kitty is now purring on my lap

We are not gonna put them alone together for a while, but I am not as worried
