It's possible it was a malfunction
In looking at slide shows of the national outrage, it appears there's a red piece of fabric beneath the leather bustier, it's entirely possible that Timberlake was supposed to tear off the leather piece, leaving the red fabric but instead pulled off both pieces.

But then I thought Sammy Sosa grabbed the wrong bat too.

1. Here's my excuse
It wasn't Janet Jackson - it was Michael Jackson - ergo "Male" (sort of) - ergo the boob shot isn't a problem. Case closed!

Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 03:26 PM by Insider
and justin didn't. she hasn't said a word. he looked like he was stunned a bit. interesting IMO that HE didn't cover her up, hug her, step in front of her or something. that would have been first response, i think.

4. I suppose that's possible
but why did she have that "Du-Dad" on her nipple?
If nobody would ever see it then why bother?

6. I gather it's pierced nipple jewelry
so she probably wears du-dads all the time.

7. Exactly...
I have a pierced nipple and it has jewelry in it at all times, partly to make sure the hole doesn't close up (body peircings generally aren't like earrings where you can leave the jewelry out for protracted periods of time) and partly because I get a kick out of knowing I'm wearing it while I'm at work. :-)

I didn't wake up this morning with the intention of showing my boob to the world but if someone ripped my shirt off they would get a little extra thrill I guess. :-)

9. Yeah, but they could have meant
the shock of Timberlake ripping off her bustier, but still planning to have the red fabric underneath.

I just have this feeling it was not Jackson's intention to expose her nipple ornament to the world. And the one thing that's being missed in all of these discussion is that she might actually be very embarrassed.

10. Embarrassed?!
Wasn't that outfit -- right off one of the Wicked Witch of the West's Guard Monkeys embarrassing enough? Where Do the Jacksons get these grotesque costumes??

I doubt she's embarrassed; in fact, she's likely quite pleased she's getting more today than Bush-booster Tom Brady! It's all about her...and, oh yeah, the Pats won, but back to Janet's breast.....

12. Watch the tape - after he does it she doesn't cover herself at all
She poses, looking down at her boob, with her hands at her stomach. It's a total dance pose - choreographed to show off the boob. No accident at all. She doesn't make one move to cover it up.

11. She was wearing a pasty
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 05:30 PM by Beetwasher
They knew exactly what they were doing, otherwise, why the pasty (nipple cover)?
