I literally made dinner in five minutes! :P

Turned on oven preheat to 375 degree's.

Covered the bottom of a metal broiler pan with heavy duty tin foil.

Threw 6 rinsed and fork pricked potatoes on the pan.

3 on each side. Then I threw 3 rinsed half chicken breasts in the middle.

Squirted Italian dressing over all, sparingly and threw the pan in the oven!

Dinner should be ready in 45 minutes or close!

:D

from pizza and spicy foods in general.

My son is always buying pizza and subs and it gets old.

I like vegetables and chicken better.

It makes me feel better too! ;)

11. Mmmmm! That sounds really good!
:)

I don't have any leftovers!

I haven't been doing much cooking lately.

My son doesn't show up for dinner or buys it at work,with out telling me;

after I've already cooked it and the food was going to waste and then the

other night we sort of, had an argument, about how much I was shelling out

for groceries and so we decided that we'd "buy our own food" from now on! LOL!

I bought $25.00 worth of food for me and he immediately went for the TV dinners (2)

and I told him... "Hands OFF!! Those are MINE! You said we'd shop separate!!" :P

I'm waiting to see how long this lasts....

Today he asked me what was for dinner.

He'll learn! ;)

There are several varieties, but I guess the main ones are Indian and Thai. And there's red and green.
Try some.

Cooking dinner can be a real chore sometimes.

I don't have to stand over it and stir or watch it

cook either and the clean up is super easy too! ;)

In fact, I've enjoyed DU and the news while dinner cooked!

I think it's ready too. I can smell it and it smells great!

30. Here is my recipe for sauce (gravy)
Meat drippings and scrapings, if you have them
Olive oil + pat of butter
Sherry vinegar
Minced shallot + minced mushrooms
Chicken stock
Veal demi-glaze

Saute the shallots and mushrooms in the oil/butter in skillet. Add a couple of tablespoons of sherry vinegar to pan. Stir. Add a cup or so of chicken broth. Stir in a couple of tablespoons of veal demi-glaze. Reduce over medium heat. Keep adding chicken stock and reducing for richer sauce.

Go to The Hotel Pastiche (link below) for a recipe for a flour-thickened version of this sauce (in fried chicken recipe), and a recipe for the ginger-soy salad dressing/marinade. Scroll down .. right side.

31. I managed to duplicate a salad...
I had at the Hyatt in Denver a few months ago.

I like the Organic Herb Salad in the package at the store, so bought some of that. On top, I sliced part of a Bartlett pear, very thin, then some raggedly sliced up Asiago cheese.

I did pretty well on the dressing. It was lemon-thyme. I mixed up some white vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, dried thyme, and just a little sea salt.

Yum! :9

42. There is a whole spectrum of Thai food, from mild to very spicy.
Usually you can specify how hot you'd like your order -- mild, medium or hot.

Some foods are just naturally mild, like pad see hew and pad thai.

sometime when you want another quick meal,
try Salad Supreme on chicken breasts in the oven.. Less oil than dressing and simply mahhhvelous tasting :)

and you can cube the potatoes , sprinkle a bit of olive oil on them in a baggie..shake shake shake and the Salad supreme again..bake and pig out !!
