Just rescued a little chickadee in the hallway of my apartment.

For some reason, little song birds always seem to find me. This morning, my fiance was leaving to go to his parents house to help with some yardwork, and he came back to tell me a bird was stuck in the hallway. The bird looked like a black capped chickadee (they have a most wonderful song!), and it was stuck in the hallway, beating it's wings against the wire and glass windows trying to get out. So I scooped it up and let it warm up back in the apartment, gave it some water, and let it go.

That's such a great feeling--I adore little birds like that. :)

That done, let me say I love chickadees, in fact I had a dog with that name once. Mountain chickadees are the craziest; we've been skiing in the mountains and had a flock of them come along, landing on and hopping around on us looking for treats, no fear whatsoever.
