WATER BALLOON FIGHT!

Once you hit Junior High, it was the custom in our town that the older kids had water balloon fights. The fight raged all over town. It was a blast. As long as we did no damage to property, the police left us alone. I grew up in a town of 3000 people. I never will forget the night I got caught behind the Funeral home, and had people coming from both sides toward me, and I had to jump the fence I was standing against. I landed in the middle of the High School principal and other school administraters. They were having a Halloween party, and the principal's house and I jumped the fence into it. I went right back over that fence and was nailed 20 times by water balloons. I bet they heard "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH, splosh, splash, splish, splat, splut" come from over the fence.

When I was 18, water balloon fights were the rage for a week or so while cruising South Main. This guy, Dave, who had a green Datsun 510 set up for road racing, ran into the middle of the street one night to hit me from close range. I saw him coming and rolled up the window, but some water got through the seals.

We had a great water balloon battle a few nights later in the parking lot of Golden West Restaurant, which was like our Mel's Drive-In. It was me and two other guys on foot vs. two guys in a Camaro, burning tires all over the lot. (I still dunno why the manager didn't call the cops.) I threw a balloon through the fool's open passenger-side window that hit one of his speakers and blew it out. :D

4. He was cool, there were a couple that would hassle us...
But we avoided them. the new guy was laughing as he got hit, til someone threw a shaving cream bomb. OH man did he get pissed, their uniforms were navy blue, and that shaving cream went all over him. He had to go home and change.

5. One of the great many advantages of growing up in a small town.

Those are the memories that stay with you forever.

6. A small town that isn't 3°C on Halloween.
Way too cold for that kind of thing up here right now, haha.

7. I live in the midwest, and it is usually either cold or rainy or both

on Halloween. This year is an exception. We would never have 3 degree weather, though. Usually in the high 30's to low 40's, but it is almost always accompanied by rain, so it seems colder.
