Haven't been paying attention to them since I got skipped over so many times, but since today is my 50th (!) birthday, I thought maybe it would be noticed. Oh well, I suppose there are too many people in here now to acknowledge everyone's birthday anymore.

I did not mean to seem like I was feeling sorry for myself. I'm just sort of proud that I actually made it to this age, considering my, um, checkered past. Now I have to make retirement. Let's hope the politicians don't take away our Social Security benefits.
