Guinness goes in for surgery tomorrow...
My five year-old black lab/border collie mix Guinness is having surgery on a ruptured ligament tomorrow.

We've been working with it all summer, using anti-inflammatories and restricting activity to try and let it heal, but last night he came in with the leg completely lame. Won't even put weight on it, and he flinched and whined when I examined it. The poor little guy's never so much as uttered a peep before, in discomfort, ever. The ligament's given up the ghost.

I swore I'd never spend the money on surgery for a dog....but then again, I'd never shared time on this earth with such a wonderful creature. When I never thought anyone could be so lonely as I was then, he came into my life five years ago and truly became my best friend.

I know with so many more important things going on in the world, this is pretty stupid. But I just hope the little guy gets back on his feet soon. If you can send good vibes his way, I'd be much obliged.

Hate to be such a baby, but damn....G-man's never even stayed overnight anywhere without me, and he's in the hospital tonight.
