My daughter is getting married.....

1. I think you should be fine...
just so long as you don't announce the filing of your divorce papers at the same time your daughter announces her engagement/upcoming wedding.

I'm not sure how to handle the divorce situation. Divorce is very traumatic to go through. We did not have children when we got divorced, so we did not have these considerations in mind. But my thoughts and wishes are with you as you face this decision.

On Edit:

Just wanted to say, I think Divorce is one of the most traumatic things that can happen to a person, short of losing a loved one. Maybe the joy of the marriage can help soften the trauma of the divorce.

Truly, good luck. I know this is not easy.
