Just saw "Miracle"...
"Sneak preview" tonight.
What can I say? the 1980 Olympic hockey team was a fairy tale come true anyway.

At least this time I got to see it in colour. Man, that was I night. My neighbour and I got SO plowed for free. Every bartender on our side of town was settin' 'em up for free....

That USSR team beat the NHL all stars like two weeks before the olympics. Was there a lot of Carter bashing BTW?

2. No, they didn't bash Jimmy.
Wan't a lot in there about the politics of the time, just an oblique reference that "the People" needed something to feel good about (what with the Economy and the Iran situation) and a telegram saying "Beat those Commie Bastards".

It still amazes me. A bunch of college boys beat the best professional team in the world.
