For me it is Percy Whetmore. From the Green Mile.

Character came complete with political connections.

Couldn't find a pic of him alone.

16. Except * could physically use a kid as a human shield
And Faux News and Limpballs would have a spin on it where * was a hero and the kid and his family were trashed.

28. I need to relate from real life: Charles Manson and Caligula.
Bush rants like Charlie Manson and like Manson has other people kill his victims.

On the subject of Caligula, Bush does not appear very loved by a vast majority of the people.

2. Dr. Smith in "Lost in Space"
Cowardly, makes other people do his work for him, and won't take responsibility when he messes up.

30. not obscure at all! Bush actually reminds me a lot of that kid ...
Only not as cute.

(I wonder if Stephen Colbert was thinking of that ... he said in the Larry King interview that he glanced over at Bush during that dinner in D.C., when he'd finished his comedy bit and they were screening a video clip ... and Bush wasn't laughing, but staring at him intently. Colbert said that he got the chills.)

13. I can't think of any character more similar.
Burns eventually went AWOL as well, and also
suffered no ill consequences for it, IIRC.

Then Mom Olson adopted another kid and proceded to teach it wretched behavior.

You mean the one as big as me? Yes!

12. "Mrs. Coulter"
From The Golden Compass. Okay, so far it's still just a book, but they're releasing the movie soon (I can't wait). Mrs. Coulter is supposed to be clever though, unlike her sound-alike real life counterpart, and GW. I feel asleep re-reading The Golden Compass last night, and dreamed Ann Coulter was lurking in my closet, along with a horde of venomous snakes. On awakening, I felt rather sorry for the snakes.

Oh, and Dolores Umbridge. No one said the character had to be male.

Separated at birth?

27. The Dauphin from Branagh's Henry V.
Full of brags and insults, but otherwise useless, and unable to understand why the war he helped start isn't winnable. He says, in effect, "Bring it on," and King Harry brings it, all right.

33. I was just watching that the other day.
The Dauphin is certainly a major ass, particularly in his pre-battle bluster at Agincourt. But he at least fights on the battlefield himself, which is more than the Chimperor ever attempted.

31. Last time I watched Green Mile, I thought the same thing.
He reaped the benefits from having well-placed relatives, without having to exert himself at all. No matter what errors he made, and I don't say mistakes, because his incidents had malicious intent, they were covered up due to his relative. He was a smug prick, and in the end, got what he deserved. But, that was fiction.
