3. That's why I run 35 miles per week.
I love food more than I hate exercise. I'd rather exercise my ass off before giving up any type of food.

I can always find something to cook in those books. I've never made anything out of them that didn't taste good.

10. Andrew Weil - Eating Well For Optimum Health.
It's not a diet book, it's a book about eating HEALTHY. Weight loss is just a nice side bonus. I can't recommend this book enough.

14. Yes.
It helps you design a diet (as in what you eat, not a weight loss diet) for yourself. But it's much more than that. It breaks down what you should eat into specific ingredients and why. That way you can make your own recipes.

27. A few books that have inspired me
These are not diet books per se, but are about healthy eating, or how to avoid dangerous eating or habits.

"The China Stsudy: Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-Term Health" by T. Colin Campbell

"Eat to Live" by Joel Fuhrman

"Hormone Deception" by D. Lindsey Berkson

"The Hundred Year Lie: How Food and Medicine are Destroying Your Health" by Randall Fitzgerald

29. Low Fat is wrong.
Go read "Good Calories, Bad Calories" by Gary Taubes, or Nina Planck's book, "Real Food." They both make a similar point that the real baddies are SUGAR and STARCH and that humans need fat for lots of different purposes, but that starch and sugar just screw with your insulin and so on.

Also good is Brian Wansink's book "Mindless Eating," which shows how people respond to cues other than hunger to eat or not eat. Very interesting!

31. Tomato Blessings and Radish Teachings by Ed Brown
As much a manual on how to live Zen as a cookbook, Tomato Blessings and Radish Teachings guides the reader through a philosophy of cooking based on a philosophy of enjoying life. Brown teaches the reader to trust their own instincts and follow their own tastes, rather than be a slave to his wonderfully simple recipes. Following recipes is not about achieving someone else's idea of perfection -- it's about guiding oneself to new tastes and territories, about gaining new insights and knowledge, and using one's common sense to mediate.

32. Most books are high in fiber, but low in other nutrients.
I wouldn't recommend any. Unless you're just using them to add to your current recipes.

Make sure they're bound with non-toxic glue though.

easy dishes that are very healthy.

My favorite is the Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook, in a large ring binder.found it at Costco.

I have lost 58 pounds andlowered all my lipids amazingly since I started WW.
