Lately, newspaper mentioned cheap airfare.
I've got to fly to Saint Somewhere.
I'm close to bodily harm.


Twenty degress and the hockey games on.
Nobody cares; they are way too far gone,

to keep them all warm.
This morning I shot six holes in my freezer.
I think I got cabin fever.
Somebody sound the alarm.
I'd like to go where the pace or life's slow.

I know I should be leaving this climate.

He worked hard all year, just wanted a few weeks alone
But his old lady’s into modelin’, she can’t get away from a phone

He’ll try the service in a day maybe two

Well he’s on his third drink before the wheels of the plane leave the ground
Makin’ points with the stewardess high over long island sound
She’s also spending some time on the island
Too much city madness gives her the blues
They make a date to go dancin’ and dinin’
It seems neither has that much to lose

Ever been to the desert around Tucson? Pretty nice this time of year, but the 7 months of summer gave me cabin fever!

Death Valley is really lovely this time of year also, as I recall.

Thanks all you sun-belters... I can now face the snowshovel and recall life beyond the blizzards!

14. Summer is hard here

last year was my last summer in the desert. I'm moving to Toronto in a few months. My poor husband had to spend last summer in the desert and the winter in Toronto. Poor guy.

I'm a freelance artist, and I'm starting a business here with a friend mostly so I can come back every winter!

15. It's cold and I went out anyway tonight

there was actually a traffic jam on the parkway. I think people have either gotten used to the cold or just said screw it, can't just stay in!
