XemaSab had a blowout on the freeway today.

In Stockton.

It worked out though. A really nice man from Clark Pest Control helped me out.

I found a tire store. It took them 2 f****ing hours to help me.

And I continued on my merry way to Redding.

It feels like it's two months later than it is.... very odd.

But yeah, the mountains really need it. North Santa Barbara County/SLO county looked like DEATH. We got virtually no rain last winter, so the plants are barely holding on.

It would be fun to get some snow!

8. The tire was brand new.

Alls I know is that there was a four inch hole in it.

It has gone to tire heaven now.

But California freeways suck, so it was probably something to do with the road.

I drove around at one point with tires that were entirely bald - not a single tread on them. Not a problem. The very day I got new tires, one of them picked up a nail.

My theory is that everything slid off the bald ones.

9. It was a fortuitous spot really....

About 300 feet shy of the Eight Mile exit (which I am all too familiar with, long story).

The road was wide enough that I could get out and look at the tire without fear of death, and also wide enough that I could drive along the edge to get off the freeway on the exit so as not to risk life and limb changing a tire on the 5.

to get out of there (cept of course we've figured out where to buy booze ), glad you were safe and near services...cause it can be a bitch on wheels trying to find your way around that place imo
