The Shorthand List
I may be saying this wrong, but there is some type of short hand list at DU that explains what things like n/t mean. Can anyone give me that link to that page or tell me where the page is located?

1. I don't think such a list exists, but I'll make an attempt at one
"n/t" means "no text" which means there's no point on clicking on the subject link because the body of the message is empty. (some people use "eom" for "end of message")

"IBTL" means "in before the lock"--usually posted when people anticipate the mods locking a thread for a rule violation

"pev" is apparently short for pervert... I think the "r" is missing because there was a typo in someone's post somewhere and now it has stuck.

"IMO" is "In My Opinion" and sometimes becomes IMHO (for "In My Humble Opinion") I don't know why anyone uses IMHO in GD because no one there ever pretended to have a "humble" opinion about anything.

"GD" is The General Discussion forum
"LBN" is the Latest Breaking News Forum

(I'm sure others here can add to this...)

Edit: There is also the Demopedia, which is much more comprehensive. Here is the link, although it is not working right now.

Then again, I seem to recall reading about it being discontinued, or down for a while, or some such... but that was a long time ago. Huh. Maybe somebody else here knws more about that issue. Anybody? Bueller? Bueller..?
