BUMMER...An old friend took his life the other day.....
My old friend Keith. He was one of my disc golf buddies. I haven't seen him since St Patty's day and only a few times in the past couple of years. Since I have not been able to play anymore I don't get out there much.

Keith was a Pro disc golfer. he played in tourneys all over the world. Didn't win much, but he loved to play the game.

Keith was one of the games great ambassadors. If a newcomer to the sport came out the course, Keith would play a round with them, teaching them the game. Most of us did not like to play with newbies, they drag down the round and really can't keep up, but Keith would be right there.

He was a huge Broncos fan and took a lot of shit for that living in Niner and Raider country, but he took it well.

Whenever we wold have a work day on the course, Keith would organize and really get things done.

He was a great guy, always willing to share and had many interests and was very thoughtful to others. the last peron I thought would do something like this. I am stunned really.

This is my third friend this summer that has done this. Wonder why?

3. Sorry to hear about your loss.
I've had a few of my friends do the same thing. Sucks.

Yeah third. One of my online buddies and the guy that hung himself at BurningMan. It is always shocking. It is really hard cuz it makes you think about if there might have been something I could have done...was I a good enough friend? Might something I said or did be the cause? I imagine the people who were really close are really torn about this and my heart really goes out to them.

With keith I knew all his good friends and his family and everything, so it makes it just a bit harder. He will be the talk whenever we meet up, everytime.

5. Wow, I'm so sorry
Suicide is so difficult to reconcile yourself to, especially when its someone like your friend who you'd never expect to do such a thing. And to lose three friends that way in one summer is harsh.

I'm terribly sorry.
