Stupid thunderstorm... WAY TO DELAY THE BRONCOS GAME, JERK!!!
So there's apparently a very unfriendly thunderstorm rolling toward Denver right now, and there is some serious lightning. So the NFL is delaying the game temporarily with 14:53 left in the second quarter, the Broncos leading 7-0.

Guess I'll jut have to make do with the Chefs and Da Bearrss for now. SIGH.

2. Yeah, it's kind of dark up in Longmont right now, too.
I can hear thunder outside, but it's not raining. Just a nice breeze for now. It is pretty gray here, though.

7. Yeah that's what it looks like.
Looks like there's a REALLY nasty cell straight south of Denver right now, at least according to WeatherBug.

4. I was at a game once when it happened.
CU-CSU, at the 2003 Rocky Mountain Showdown in Denver. A HUGE thunderstorm rolled in from the west and the rain started pouring down. The most memorable moment was Joel Klatt throwing something like a 70-yard touchdown pass right before they delayed the game. The receiver caught the ball and the stadium lit up blue as lightning struck nearby, and as he entered the end zone, thunder rolled louder than anything I've ever heard before. The only thing that drowned the thunder out was the cheering of the CU fans.

They delayed that game for half an hour because of the rain. Me and one of my best friends were already soaked, so we stayed out in the stands, in the upper deck at Mile high, getting soaked, laughing and singing and dancing. Great game.

8. It was amazing. I've never been that drenched in my life.
I brought rain gear with me because it had rained a lot the night before and it was cloudy all day, but at some point I just pulled the hood off my head because my shirt and pants were already completely soaked. To say the least, it was an impressive display of nature.

10. Broncos are up 14-3, and driving yet again.
The offense has had some great moments on the last couple of drives. The running backs are finding holes in Oakland's D, and Cutler is seeing the defense pretty well. It's the 2 minute warming, and it looks like the Broncos will score again before halftime.
