I'd love to see Babs make a comeback,but this? Last I heard she was close to buying the rights to Andrew Lloyd Webers "Sunset Blvd".She was planning on directing & starring as Norma Desmond(IMO this would be smart.musicals are big now & she would be perfect for this)Also heard Liza Minelli turned it down.Anyways, I 'd like to see Bab's in a new movie.just not sure its this one

I like Streisand, but I wish to hell she would stop trying to act in movies she directs that are totally inappropriate for her, like "Yentl". Sorry, but she is NOT Norma Desmond material. I would respect her a lot more if she just said admitted some roles weren't right for her, brought in someone who COULD play the role, and stuck with directing.

Hell, she may even finely get her Oscar.

There's nothing I hate more than a good work gone horribly bad because of vanity. Oprah did it with "Beloved". Streisand did it with "Yentl". Madonna did it with "Evita". Kevin Costner came dangerously close to doing it with "Robin Hood".

You have to know your strengths and know your weaknesses, and be willing to be brutally truthful with yourself.
