AMAZING Thunder Storm Last Night
wow.

haven't heard thunder like that in a long time. sounded like the house was coming down about 4:00 am.

not the rolling type of thunder, just an hour or so of sonic booms.

incredible.

rained too. not enough to revive my dying lawn but we'll take anything at this point.

how did you sleep DU?

:hi:

1. Got up at 4.00 am - woken by the thunder
Edited on Sun Sep-09-07 06:47 AM by Godlesscommieprevert
Mr GCP habitually wakes up around that time anyway. So we both got up - I wish I could sleep like I used to be able :(

2. We didn't get anyhting here ....
there were literally T-Storms to the immediate north and south of Lynn, but other than 2 mins of rain and some rumble, that was it.

3. Those storms were all around me last night. I face south and
could watch them in the distance racing west to east. Friends and I were in a craft fair yesterday...booths, tents, the whole nine yards. At about 3 pm the skies darkened all around us. You never saw a fair come down so fast! I was standing in this open field holding one of our tent poles thinking about what a sitting duck I was!

4. I don't think we got anything in Manchester...
But I sleep like a rock. What we're been getting is "teaser" clouds that last most of the day, don't produce any precipitation and move on. It's like that now, with wind.

6. You suck. We're so desperate for rain here that I'm jealous of your thunderstorm.
:P :) Seriously, glad you had some rain. I love listening to thunderstorms and watching them too. It's pretty fucking amazing. :D

7. Isn't it?
My husband takes a fit because I like to go outside and cool off in the rain. And I think that the smell of rain hitting hot concrete has got to be the best smell in the world.

10. Something else I miss living in this part of CA.
Thunderstorms are as scarce as hen's teeth.
Yours sounds like an interesting one.

14. POUT!
We watched those kickass thunderstorms on the radar last night, cruising through the Southern Tier of NYS, just south of us. We got nuthin'. :( Got drizzle today. Good for the plants and grass, but it just ain't the same.
