Anybody using GPS with laptop?
I'm looking at a DeLorme package with Street Atlas USA dvd and a GPS that plugs into your laptop.

Making a road trip from Alabama to San Diego next month and this looks like a handy item.

Anybody using something like this?

3. Not personally but
my nephew uses one when he's storm chasing. He has his laptop running anyway and it made sense to use the adaptor.

He's been very happy with it, once he got it to finally recognize the satellite.

5. I use Garmin's free nRoute with my Garmin Garmin 60csx and laptop ...
... and love it. Used it up and down the east coast last summer, and it worked very well. Helps to have a co-pilot, as I did; I'm not much for looking over at the laptop while driving, although a buddy of mine has a neat mount in his vehicle that places the laptop right next to him, and he uses it while traveling alone. Kind of like the cop cars have mounts for their laptops.

6. Roger on the co-pilot.
Miz t. and I take turns driving until we get into a 'complicated' navigation spot.
Then she drives, I nav.
Thanks, I'll check out the Garmin.
