Forget GD, I'm getting m butt kicked on EBAY!
I listed my car, and have 17 bids, all way below my reserve. Meanwhile there are dozens of other cars of the same type, and in much worse condition--obvious from the pictures and descriptions--and some of them are bidding way above mine!

Makes as much sense as anything else in America these days, I guess. Maybe it's abou location. Maybe no one wants to go to Austin to get a car. :(

That's all. Had to tell someone. :)

4. Around $100 bucks, if it sells.
The listing fee is around $50, depending on options. I forget how they figure the fee when it sells.

2. Whatcha selling? I'm in Austin.
I don't want a car, but a workmate of mine has been looking. And surely, with classes starting up again soon, you could find a student to buy it? Tried craigslist?

3. 82 Mercedes 300 D Turbo. Good student car.
I didn't try Craigslist because usually people will bid higher on Ebay--plus, I kind of like Ebay. This time it's not working, though.

6. I've been wanting to visit Chicago, but moving? Snow scares me!
:scared:

Not being in Chicago, the car has no rust.

10. Well, I just missed out on selling this one.
 I stayed in Austin this weekend, too, instead of taking a trip to see my parents, just because I had this listed.

12. Mine's got 187,000. It's barely warmed up.
Not sure what happened. I guess I'll relist it. Raise the price, maybe that will get people more interested. :)

7. I had to sell a pickup and had no luck with Craigslist.
Then I ran an ad in the weekend Statesman and sold the truck w/in 24 hours to somebody from Johnson City.

eBay is cool, but those big transactions make me nervous. You're brave!

Classes at UT start on the 29th - maybe you'll get some nibbles then. Good luck!

9. I've bought and sold cars on EBay before.
Got my Prius when there was a nine month waiting list. Bought this Mercedes, for that matter. And an old conversion van for my parents. I sold a minivan. I have good luck. Until today. :(
