Around how many months is the terrible twos for kittens?

Jeez Louise....He's about 5 months, and a holy terror. Bitey bite bite. Leg climbing rawks! Hey Mom and Dad, wanna get up at 5 am on the dot *every* day? I can help with that! Water doesn't belong in the dish, but all over the floor!

1. I hate to tell you this, but..

Bear woke me up at 5 a.m. this morning... and he is 13 years old! :-(

We "trained him" somewhat successfully for a few years by using a little water squirt gun (I kid you not). But, when we moved into this house I didn't want to use it any longer because the paint we have would show stains if it gets wet. Anyway, being the smart cat he is, he's figured out he can get away with waking us up again... by standing on his hind legs and rocking the window shades back and forth. It's crazy. I put up with it because I love him so much. But, I swear, the cats (both of ours) control us instead of the other way around.

It really is a good thing I didn't have children! lol

3. I have to lock him out of the bedroom most nights.

Last night he slept with us in the bed very sweetly....until 5, of course, and out to the livingroom he went. He spent all weekend building up his cute points with me so he can get away woth bloody murder all week long, I guess. :D

5. I put the cat's water dish in a shallow rubbermaid storage tub

that way when they spill, they spill into the tub

6. We ended up getting him a fountain...

So far, the splashing has ceased. He just really likes moving water. :D
