This is a heavily repug county, about 60-65% of registered voters. Almost all holders of elected office are repugs. However, throwing caution to the winds, we held our very first organizational meeting for a South Baldwin County (AL) Democratic Club yesterday. It's a small step, but it is a step.

I volunteered to be treasurer, since I've done it for other organizations and have already made most of the mistakes and learned about the pitfalls.
We had 18 people show up and now have $150 in the kitty. woohoo
Now I have to try and find us a no-fee checking account.
