Stephen King's thoughts on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...
Thought you guys would enjoy this, as you guys usually love King and loved the books...
And as he says, "And if you think (this needs a spoiler warning) at this late date, you were never much of a Potter fan to begin with."

1. He's right. Took me a week to read and for me, that was too fast.

I know I'll start reading it again in a few months from the first book onward.

Stephen rules.

And, we all know this was never a kids book, like King said. But probably the best series of books ever written.

4. I encourage you to find the audio books at some point.
They are incredible. Jim Dale reading them to you is so vivid, and his voices are so fun. Everyone needs to listen to them at least once.

2. I don't have time to read all three pages now but...
one thing I really like about Stephen King--one of many--is his ability to heap praise on other authors. He does that often in his books, refer to another work and acknowledge that it is good. That's cool that he's secure enough in his own abilities to be able to share the limelight.

5. Stephen King is an incredible person...
And a good author, but he's an incredible person first. That's one of things I truly love about him.

3. Very nice review
And I didn't find a lot of spoilers I didn't already know. Harry survives. D'uh. (No, I haven't finished it yet. So sue me!)

He's mainly reviewing the reviewers who have been so anxious to be first to review it that they forgot to say anything about the literary aspects of the , you know.. book, which is kinda the point of a book review. :D

6. It's OK that you haven't finished the book yet...
I encourage you to find the audio book. It makes it go faster, and it's much more fun and vivid.

And as he says, "And if you think (this needs a spoiler warning) at this late date, you were never much of a Potter fan to begin with.

So... Does this mean that because I didn't immediately rush out and buy the seventh book, I'm not a HP fan? That's ridiculous. I have all the books except #7, all the DVDs that are currently out, and I've seen the fifth movie. I'm sorry but that quote offended me. I'm not going to read any spoilers on the internet until I get the seventh book.

8. I don't think he was serious.
I'm sorry it offended you. The actual quote was: And if you think that's a spoiler at this late date, you were never much of a Potter fan to begin with.
I think he figures everyone went out immediately and bought the book. IF you were nearby I'd give you my book.
Again, I'm sorry for the offense.

9. It's not your fault
I'm going to buy the seventh book ASAP. I just wanted to re-read the series 1-6 again before I did, to brush up on stuff. I just started re-reading the sixth book, so I'll get #7 when I'm done with that one.
