3. I'm holding in my hand 6 black socks
No two of which constitute a pair.

Since I wore them all (in matching pairs) before putting them in the laundry, I'd like to know where the other damn 6 socks are. That's all I'm sayin'.

9. My youngest son always maintained that the monster lived in the
washer. You could put pairs of socks in the washer, but you got singles back out.

6. My son used to leave his socks all over the house
I have a cat who decided she had to rid us of the menace that was the sock infestation (apparently, since there were no mice in the house to kill, she felt the need to hunt socks).

Most of the time, she would leave her "kill" on my bed, in tribute.

It would be really fun to catch her walking around the house w/ a sock in her mouth... a muffled "meow"...

Here's the little sock slayer now:

11. You know the rings around Saturn? They're formed by all the
world's lost socks. There's a worm hole in your washer with a direct connection.

I solved the problem by clipping my two socks together with a rubber band before they go into the dirty clothes. I never have to search for sock mates any more.

17. No problems for me. I've been doing this for years.
I suspect Saturn is less than pleased, but it can always go back to gathering moon-dust. :hi:

13. ROFL!
Technically, I could, but aside from lead-melting temperatures lately, there are, er, other issues associated with that.

16. There's this whole shoe thing
When I do wear shoes, I have to wear socks. My feet can't stand going commando. :P

I of course avoid wearing shoes if I can, but there are those times...
