It's Just Stuff

stuff comes, stuff goes

attachment vs. letting go

it's not the stuff that gets to me though

I know there are plenty of far worse things people are saddled with right now.

:hi:

Peace Loungers

It would be nice if it was just "stuff". But that stuff is too symbolic of many things and many memories. So it's not just stuff.

I know what you're going through sweetie. Been there and it's the hardest thing I've ever done. But I survived and so will you. Reach out to your friends now...it helps and you have many including me.

Always here for you.

2. Reminds me of some Tibetan buddhism 'stuff' I read about 'stuff'
We never really own anything, we have power over things though.

Example, you have a chair - you can destroy it, burn it, etc - but suppose you don't. When you die, someone else gets control over it.

How we use our power over things is important, and the concept of ownership is merely a way to say that we can, if we wish, reshape that which we have power over.

We do not own our life, but we have power over it. If we give that power to someone else, then they control it while they exist in this life. And while some may use that wisely, some will not.

Love is the voluntary act of giving up some power over your life to share it with someone else - both give. When one ceases to give they give up that power, if it is not a two-lane street then it is a one-lane street and there will always be someone ahead of you instead of beside you.

Sometimes, you have to take the next turn and get onto the two-lane street.
