It's come to my attention that I've been sadly lacking in terms of originality.

I've referred to the husband who moved out two months ago as "STBE" that is, "soon to be ex-" for, geez, at least a year now. We have decided to remain physically separated for a year before initiating divorce proceedings, for the sake of our families and our children. We are not yet divorced and it's in truth a long way down the pipeline, but does that excuse hold water? Why have I not focused more time and energy on an attempt to come up with a new description for the poor man and our relationship status? Laziness, stupidity, dull-wittedness, sheer oversight? I know not and I apologize.

P.S. if you don't know what the hell I'm talking about, you are a good friend of mine. If you do, I can't hear you.
