Original message
I will arise and go now
and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there,
of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean rows will I have there,
a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.
And I shall have some peace there,
for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning
to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a-glimmer,
and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.

I will arise and go now,
for always night and day
I hear the water lapping
with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway,
or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.

1. I will arise and retire...
and dwell upon those wonderful words.

Did you compose them?

Just posted it because of all the 'i must leave here' copycats. :D

Hello, I must be going

by Groucho Marx

Hello, I must be going.
I cannot stay,
I came to say
I must be going.
I'm glad I came
but just the same
I must be going.

(chorus)
For my sake you must stay,
for if you go away,
you'll spoil this party
I am throwing.

I'll stay a week or two,
I'll stay the summer through,
but I am telling you,
I must be going.

4. I have to work today, but the poem gave me a great mood to enjoy.
Copycat mockery or no, you chose some nice words to post.

9. My most favorite poem ever! I used to recite it to myself when
jammed in on the stinking Boston "T" on the way to work. My father named my cabin up here in NH "Innisfree" and yesterday as I was weeding my garden and checking my bush beans the "nine bean rows" came to my mind. There is an Innisfree in Ireland also a Coole where Yeats wrote "The Wild Swans of Coole". Wonderful places, wonderful poem!
