I think I got someone's mail by mistake. Twice.

Two manila envelopes, each containing a short story.

Or a two chapter novella.

One takes place in a distant land.
So distant that I didn't recognize any part of the culture.
I cried.

The other is about a man who dies.
It was a slow death, no visitors, no nurses.
I cried.

I wonder who sent them to me? And why?

1. My dear Ptah...
Was it addressed to you, personally?

Strange indeed....

And no return address, I assume?

I have no idea why anyone would do such a thing, sweetie...

2. It was postmarked somewhere in Colorado.
This thread is a pull your leg post, not quite a copycat.

Sorry.

3. You should probably just shred them
I'm sure whoever sent them wouldn't want them to fall into the hands of - god forbid - a literary agent or something...

7. I think I'll scan them and post them.
Surely someone will recognize them.
