I find myself unaccountably cheerful tonight...
I listed all the little things I do for Mr. Ungrateful, and I've come to the realization that he is going to have a far harder time adjusting to living alone than he (obviously) thinks.

My list (not exhaustive)
get up at 5am: pour coffee
get up at 5:30: get his ass up
iron his shirts
bologna sandwich for breakfast
clean his eyeglasses
drive him to work; pick him up in the PM.

shopping
washing clothes (including hand washing his white shirts)
cooking dinner
taking him places

All this crap he'll be doing for himself. :D

20. Jeez. I'm gonna hafta talk to my wife about all the stuff she's not been doing for me.
Doh! Maybe not. I'm very fortunate that she puts up with me. Sounds like Mr. Ungrateful has been blessed, and just doesn't know it yet.

Hang in there, TOL ... and I hope tomorrow will be a good day, too.

21. Because women are *generally* the do-ers in the relationship
cooking, cleaning, ironing, laundry, grocery-shopping, scheduling various things (doctors, etc.) I read a study that says that although many times women have less money after a break-up (men still make more money), women are better at pulling themselves together and getting on with enjoying life after a period of grief.

So I think you are absolutely right.

And once you get yourself all situated, don't let him turn your world upside down again by wanting to drag himself back home for free eye-glass cleaning, laundry services, shuttle services, etc.

:hi:

*sleep in a little longer.
*iron when you feel like it.
*get in the car and drive to a park or an overlook and have a free mini vacation.

30. The grass is always greener on the other side, then when you get there and look back
You realize that on the other side someone else mowed the grass and now you're knee deep in it without the mower :)

32. For him :)
He left for greener pastures, and the one who kept the grass looking green he failed to take with him. When he gets there the grass will grow wild and then wither without your rain.

The he look back and see that the grass was greener where he was all along...

...he says that he wants out of here. Too many memories. Neither of us are happy together; we've grown apart. The split is going to be amicable. But, you bet i'll have a lawyer.
