If a credit/debit card expires 08/07, is that on August 1, or the end of August 30?

That is, is it good through all of August, or does it die as soon as August begins?

My debit card expires 08/07, and I just realized that I'm traveling the end of July and into August - I'd hate to be out and about and then suddenly discover I have no access to my money!

You have until the end of the month to replace the card.

7. You should automatically receive a new one pretty soon

I'd call the bank and see if they can send it now to be on the safe side. But in answer to your question, I believe it's the end of the month.

in little type above the embossed date, indicating it would be good through the month of August

10. If it doesn't specify a date, it's the last day of the month, which is August 31.

12. They always send my new one well in advance of the old one expiring

so it's never been an issue. Sounds like you should phone up and ask where the new one has got to.
