My absence...

Hi everyone. First I would like to say that
I am overwhelmed by the response to this
thread and I would like to thank everyone for
posting their best wishes .


To make a long story short, I was hospitalized
3 weeks and they detected that I had
diabetes. I had to stay hospitalized
until today when the hospital released
me.

I also had some mental problems. If you
remember the thread I posted re the rough
patch, I think you will understand.


Now I have bills and mail to go though. :puke:

My daughter has diabetes (type 1), so I'm familiar with dealing with it. Sorry for the diagnosis, but fortunately it is treatable and complications can be prevented! I'm certain they already did a good job with the education end of it at the hospital. Keep learning - it will be good for your health!

Diabetic ketoacidosis can cause major mental status changes just on it's own. Now thrown in a chronic disease on top of it, plus whatever other personal stuff may be going on. Big hugs. Feel better. We missed you. :grouphug:

you might be in the hospital. :hug: Hope you are feeling better and are able to get the diabetes under control. It can really whack you out if you don't know what it is, the endocrine hormones create a delicate dance between the mind and body (I have thyroid disease, so I know something about diabetes too). Thankfully the hospital found it!
