Driving in NYC: I need some lounge advice.
I want to go to Hudson Street from Central Park West on a Sunday afternoon. I know of several scenic routes and don't need help in that department. My question is choice of vehicle. I can't decide is whether to take the energy-efficient and zippy calash or opt for the more sturdy and comfortable ride of the barouche. Any thoughts?

5. Then I'm off to a good start
because when properly outfitted both the calash and the barouche have excellent horse power.

4. Whatever you do, don't pick a semi
You have two choices when you go through there in a semi. Squish people or wait for the sun to go down.

6. Neither. Take the aromatic and refreshing A train.

7. If the weather is good, walk, CPW to Hudson Street is not too
far and you'll arrive refreshed and invigorated.

9. that would take a really long time to walk that distance
You are talking about walking from 59th all the way down to Houston Street or there abouts, a good 60+ blocks and I don't think you would be "refreshed" at the end. Better to take the A or C train.

8. the barouche is better at crushing proles, but you have to transfer at Columbus
I'm not a PETA person but those central park horsies look like they'd rather be in a Gyro.

10. Why not a palanquin? Are you too poor to have staff?

11. A palanquin in Gotham?
Surely you jest.
It's bad enough that some have suggested that I take the El.
